Job Title: Senior Housing Officer

Location: Maplehurst House, Broadfield Park, Crawley RH11 9GJ

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am-6pm with 1 hour unpaid break, with availability for call outs on rota

Contract Type: Full Time

The role:

You will be part of a team that focuses on tenant support, housing management, and Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) case management. Responsibilities include conducting tenant interviews and risk assessments, assisting with Housing Benefit claims, and working closely with external agencies to meet tenant needs.

The role involves leading high-priority ASB cases, ensuring compliance with ASB policies, and collaborating with partner agencies for effective enforcement and resident safeguarding. Additional duties include issuing tenancy warnings, promoting mediation for disputes, providing performance reports, and maintaining partnerships with organisations. Monthly reports and KPIs are provided to management, highlighting team progress and service improvements.

What are we looking for?

• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Good written communication and numeracy skills
• Basic IT skills
• Full clean UK Driving License (not required but preferred)
• Knowledge of Housing Legislation
• Experience working in housing and providing services to social housing residents
• Experience building strong partnerships with agencies like social services, police and local authority
