Responsibilities

• Manage grant-funded housing improvement and adaptation projects.
• Carry out property inspections and surveys to assess suitability for adaptations.
• Measure properties and prepare outline plans for consultation with residents and partner agencies.
• Produce technical drawings, specifications, schedules of work and project documentation.
• Obtain Building Regulations approval, planning permissions and other consents.
• Prepare tender documentation and obtain quotations from contractors.
• Evaluate tenders and make recommendations for contractor appointments.
• Prepare formal building contracts and monitor works to schedule and budget.
• Authorize payments and issue completion certificates and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and construction standards.
