Job summary

Cygnet Wast Hills is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the cleaning team across a residential care site in Birmingham. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards and supervising staff to ensure excellent service delivery, while complying with health and safety rules.

You will work 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, with flexible start times. A DBS check is required due to the care setting.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience
• COSHH & Health & Safety training
• Experience in housekeeping or domestic work in care/hospital setting
• A friendly, conscientious & positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• The ability to maintain confidential information

Responsibilities

• Provide a general housekeeping service & ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Conduct regular staff supervision & annual appraisals
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes & monitor stock & equipment
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with COSHH regulations
• Monitor & audit the level of service provided against the agreed standards
