Job summary

Athena Care Homes is seeking a Senior Housekeeper at Aria Court Care Home in March to lead the housekeeping team and ensure clean, safe, welcoming environments for residents and visitors. 37.5 hours weekly on a rota, with a generous benefits package.

Salary is £13.50 per hour; candidates should have at least 2 years in a similar role with proven team, budget and target management, plus strong communication and attention to detail.

About the role:

Leading our Housekeeping team, the Senior Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the highest service standards of cleaning to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.

Salary:

£13.50 per hour.

Shift Pattern:

37.5 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage overall responsibility for support services within the home for laundry and domestic housekeeping.
• Support the management team in the recruitment, induction and training of the support service team; ensuring training targets are met and team is competent in their roles.
• Manage rotas, budgets, stocks and reporting duties for the Housekeeping department within the home.
• Support, lead, manage and inspire direct reports to deliver outstanding service for the home.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, with proven experience successfully managing a team, budgets and targets.
• A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as high attention to detail.
