Role Overview
To support the Product Head in developing and maintaining the product range to meet business targets and objectives. This includes exploiting new product opportunities and providing product and technical support both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
- Collate and present key information to the Product Head on schedule and ad hoc regarding the product range.
- Manage, maintain, and review the product range to ensure they remain current, competitive, compliant, and aligned with business targets for allocated accounts and schemes.
- Present pricing recommendations based on data analysis, broker insights, and input from the pricing and MI teams.
- Manage new product developments and amendments.
- Understand underwriting performance metrics to collate and present key account information at regular intervals and handle ad hoc requests related to products, pricing, and MI.
- Research the market through broker intel, media, and personal contacts to stay informed about industry developments and opportunities.
- Manage key accounts and develop profitable relationships, exploring product opportunities and resolving issues.
- Nurture broker relationships to meet business plans and gather customer feedback.
- Investigate and respond to policy-related queries from operational teams.
- Promote internal collaboration with relevant departments.
- Represent the division internally or externally as required.
- Actively promote Group brands.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.
About You
- Experience in the home insurance market.
- Commercial awareness, market knowledge, and process understanding.
- Knowledge of key performance indicators.
- Data analysis skills, including presenting observations and suggested actions.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently, demonstrating initiative.
- Proficiency in Excel functions.
- Knowledge of SAS software is advantageous.
