Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a senior manager to lead the Highway Maintenance, Flood & Coastal, and Streetworks functions in Bridgend. You will direct a team of engineers, inspectors and technicians and manage a £2 million revenue budget to maintain a high-quality highway network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge, experience and ability to undertake this challenging and varied role within Highway Maintenance/Flood & Coastal/Streetworks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, external companies, local members, Senedd Members, MPs and the public.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of highway structures, carriageways and footways.
• Direct and manage the Highway Maintenance/Flood & Coastal/Streetworks departments and teams.
• Oversee and monitor the highway revenue budget of around £2 million per annum.
• Coordinate the Streetworks team and ensure efficient inspection and coordination of works on the network.
