mode transport planning is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer in the United Kingdom with 6–9 years of highways experience. You will work within a fledgling highways team, delivering diverse projects for private sector clients including developers and landowners.

You will contribute to design, calculations, drawings, and client briefs, while collaborating across the transport planning group. The role offers a varied workload, development opportunities, and a benefits package including 25 days

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of highways engineering experience.
• Proficient in DMRB, MfS1/2, LTN1/20 and related standards.
• Experience in design software and local authority projects.
• Strong communication and proactive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highways projects as part of a growing team.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and design documents.
• Coordinate with transport planning team and project engineers.
• Prepare client briefs and contribute to bids.
• Support optioneering studies and risk assessments.
• Contribute toward business targets.
