Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Senior Highways & Drainage Engineer to lead delivery of construction engineering services for highways and drainage solutions. You will mentor colleagues, shape innovative approaches, and provide safe, buildable options across temporary and permanent works.

• An Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEng MICE) with relevant experience.
• Experienced in highways and drainage engineering with demonstrable technical expertise.
• Confident in leading design projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Skilled in temporary works design, checking, and providing technical solutions.
• Able to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading temporary works design and checking with a focus on highways and drainage solutions.
• Providing tender and bid support including outline designs, feasibility studies and value engineering.
• Managing design projects from remit development through to delivery, ensuring technical compliance.
• Leading and organising the workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team.

Job description

As a Senior Highways & Drainage Engineer, you'll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering construction engineering services that are safe, innovative and buildable. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of construction engineering services, focusing on highways and drainage solutions. Your day to day will include:

We're looking for a Senior Highways & Drainage Engineer to join our team based in various locations. Location: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich - agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired
