Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience required.
  • Experienced in highways design and construction.
  • Knowledge of Local Authority design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplinary projects meeting time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Mentor staff and assist in resource planning.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations.

  • Chartered or experienced Engineer working towards CEng (minimum 10 years relevant experience required)
  • Leadership in multi-disciplinary projects meeting customer expectations on time, cost, and quality
  • Extensive highways design and construction experience, including review of design software outputs
  • Commercial awareness in project delivery
  • Knowledge of Local Authority design standards and contracts
  • Experience in mentoring staff and resource planning
  • Management of H&S in design and construction, with a good understanding of CDM regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with NEC contracts and administration
  • Knowledge of highway design standards such as DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, TSRGD, MCDHW, and other relevant codes
  • Ability to prepare specifications and Bills of Quantities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is advantageous
  • Full UK/EEC driving license
