Job summary

Randstad CPE, on behalf of a leading international infrastructure group, seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee highway schemes in East Sussex. The contract is 6 months with potential extension; rate £70 per hour umbrella inside IR35; hours are full-time, day shifts, on-site.

You will supervise site teams, coordinate labour, plant, and subcontractors, ensure safety RAMS, and deliver quality in line with drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising site teams or subcontractors in highways, civils, utilities, public realm, or similar infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate highways project works from initial planning through to completion.
• Set operatives, gangs, and subcontractors to work safely, providing clear task briefings, reviewing RAMS, and implementing rigorous risk and permit controls.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials, traffic management, access, and utilities interfaces to achieve short-term delivery plans.
• Lead quality checks, manage hold points and inspection records, and ensure all works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Act as a guide and mentor to newer project managers on-site
