Senior Highway Engineer

Job Title: Senior Highway Engineer - Floodwater Management

Location: London, UK

Salary: £45,000-£48,000 per annum plus benefits

I am working on behalf of my client based in London for an opportunity for a Senior Highway Engineer specialised in Floodwater Management to join the highways team. The right person for the role will work within the highways maintenance team to design and implement highways drainage improvement schemes, supervise the sites and develop programmes.

Responsibilities of the Senior Highway Engineer:

1. Review planning applications on drainage works, including SuDS
2. Design and implement highway drainage improvement schemes
3. Maintain drainage infrastructure, both planned and reactive
4. Provide technical support for traffic management Work abroad
5. Support the Principle Drainage Engineer efficiently
6. Deliver works within a timely manner and within budget
7. Utilise CAD and other software
8. Liaise with clients and key stakeholders
9. Prepare revenue estimates
10. Site supervision of schemes

Requirements of the Senior Highway Engineer:

1. Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or related field
2. Working knowledge of flood risk management and drainage
3. Demonstrable experience within the highways sector
4. Abilities to communicate internally and externally
5. AutoCAD proficiency
