Job description

Purpose of the role

The Senior High Yield and Leveraged Loan Strategist is responsible for forming the house view on High Yield bonds and leveraged loans and representing Barclays' views in these areas.

Accountabilities

• Set the firm's view on the European high yield and leveraged loan markets, focusing on high yield.
• Establish forecasts for returns, supply, demand, and defaults.
• Maintain actionable views on rating, duration, sector, and country preferences, as well as macro-related relative-value aspects.
• Collaborate with the fundamental credit research team on sector views.
• Interact extensively with credit trading and sales teams to support with actionable insights.
• Drive the high yield/leveraged loan section of European Credit Alpha and contribute to credit research articles.
• Present views in research reports, conferences, client meetings, and internally to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the broader research team to create thought-provoking research pieces.
