Job summary

Boughey Distribution is seeking an experienced HGV/LGV Technician to join our workshop team as a retirement replacement. You will maintain, inspect, and repair our LGV fleet to DVSA standards, ensuring roadworthiness and peak performance.

The role offers 4 on 4 off shifts from 7am to 7pm, weekly pay, enhanced overtime, 33 holidays, and progression opportunities across the group. You'll work with a skilled team using diagnostic tools and modern vehicle electronics.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV/LGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or IRTEC).
• Proven experience with LGVs in a workshop environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle electronics and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine safety inspections, servicing, all repairs and defect rectification to DVSA standards.
• Accurately complete all maintenance and repair record sheets.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals efficiently.
• Work in a professional, logical and safe manner at all time, keeping the work area safe, clean and tidy.
