Location: Hull
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Overtime paid at 1.3
Shift: Days - 7am - 5pm and 8am - 6pm - 1/2 Saturdays 8-12

About your new company

My client is a large family-run logistics company who are now looking for skilled Senior HGV Technicians to lead a motivated team of technicians in their Hull workshop. As the workshop foreman, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop and support the technicians in the below duties.

About your new Senior HGV Technician role

1. Overseeing Technicians, in charge of maintaining stock levels, managing workloads, and scheduling quality and compliance documentation ensuring clear communication/teamwork.
2. Perform day-to-day vehicle/trailer repairs and inspections in the workshop and also at other sites.
3. Undertake the maintenance of equipment and ancillary equipment to manufacturers and company standards and procedures.
4. Ensure that all relevant administration and documentation are to the correct standard (Service sheets, Job cards, parts) working with the admin team.
5. Liaising with the drivers and traffic department to ensure all the vehicle servicing, defects, and issues are dealt with straight away.
6. A solid understanding of electrical systems, fleet management systems, and DVS compliance.

The successful Senior HGV Technician will have

• Fully Qualified LGV workshop Technician who has the desirable skills to progress within the business.
• HGV Level Qualification.
• Knowledge of IT, fleet management, and Diagnostic Systems.
• Welding and Fabrication Skills.
• HGV license.
