Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Heritage Town Planner to join a London-based consultancy. You will provide heritage and planning advice on a varied portfolio, including listed buildings and conservation areas, and manage projects from inception to completion.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK heritage legislation, planning policy (NPPF), and stakeholder engagement. A flexible, hybrid working pattern in London and the UK is offered with clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in heritage planning and conservation.
• Knowledge of listed buildings and conservation areas.
• Strong grasp of UK heritage law and planning policy (NPPF).
• Experience preparing heritage statements and planning applications.
• Understanding of the UK planning system and development management.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist heritage and planning advice across a varied portfolio.
• Advise on projects involving listed buildings, conservation areas, and heritage sites.
• Prepare heritage statements, assessments and planning documentation.
• Work with clients, architects, authorities and consultants.
• Support development of heritage strategies and manage projects end-to-end.
• Contribute to growth of the heritage planning service.
• Work on projects across London and wider UK.
