Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a Brighton-based independent planning, design and heritage consultancy in finding a Senior Heritage Consultant. You will deliver heritage advice to developers, planning consultants and project teams, with site visits and client liaison as core duties.

The role offers hybrid working, a competitive benefits package including pension and generous leave, and the opportunity to lead heritage projects in a growing team.

Qualifications

• Holder of a heritage or conservation degree with demonstrable built heritage planning experience.
• IHBC membership or working towards it is preferred.
• Experience delivering heritage planning consultancy to clients.

Penguin Recruitment are pleased to be supporting this independent planning, design and heritage consultancy in their search for a Senior Heritage Consultant to work within their growing team. The successful Senior Heritage Consultant will be delivering heritage advice to developers, planning consultants and project teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

For this position applications are sought from candidates who have a relevant heritage or conservation degree, have full IHBC Membership (or be working towards this) and who have demonstrable built heritage planning and consultancy experience.

Duties:

• Attending site visits
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients
• Deliver strategic built heritage advice to clients
• Producing Heritage Statements, Heritage Impact Assessment and related documents required to support planning or Listed Building applications
