Our Farm

We currently milk 380 cows three times a day through a modern herringbone parlour. Our cows are housed all year round on sand cubicles and we are aligned to a national retailer. Our current herd average is over to 14,000 litres per cow, and therefore technical excellence, protocols and KPI’s are essential to maintain and drive performance. We rear all our own replacements and grow grass silage, maize and cereals, which are all fed back to the cows. We formulate our dairy diets in house using US software, and are progressive in breeding heifers from the highest TPI sires from across the world.

We also operate a trainee scholarship programme designed to offer enthusiastic dairy operators an opportunity to develop their dairy management skills.

Your role

As a Senior Herdsperson, you will be supporting the overall running of the dairy operation with roles and responsibilities including:

· Daily management of the herd's health and well-being, spotting and treating illnesses
