Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 37-hour workweek over five weekdays. The hours are flexible to meet the service needs.

The Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) will assist with patients' care needs before, during, and after clinic appointments. During periods of low clinic activity, the post holder will support patient care in the Outpatient Support Service (OPSS) and ward 14, with experience in a care setting being advantageous.

Working within the multidisciplinary team in Older People's Services requires enthusiasm for caring for older adults and excellent communication skills. IT and organizational skills are also required.
