Job description
Overview

Are you currently working in the Custody Environment and have 12 months+ experience? Would you like a new career challenge managing a small team of healthcare professionals within custody suites? This role offers the development of clinical, forensic, and wider skills not only for you but your wider team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of HCPs providing detained individuals with exact assessments and ensuring their care and wellbeing needs are met. Look at rota gaps and cover as needed.
  • Manage the HCPs ensuring they are supervised and appraised appropriately.
  • Act as management and work as part of an integrated team with the Clinical Lead and Lead Senior to ensure that local processes follow National Clinical Governance Standards and the Force’s specific needs.
Requirements
  • You'll be a qualified RN Adult, RMN’s (with dual registration), RGNs or Paramedics.
  • Minimum of 12 months previous Custody experience, 2 years post-qualification experience in areas such as General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, Mental Health, or Ambulance Service) as an Adult RN.
  • 3 years UK residency.
  • You'll need a current manual driving license with no restrictions to sometimes travel to other custody suites or local hospitals.
  • All candidates are subject to police vetting checks.
Compensation

Salary will be discussed at interview. However, with typical overtime shifts at premium rates, based on actual earlier data, that’s another £3,500. Refer a friend and receive £500.
