Job Summary

Would you like the opportunity to join us as a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant? Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting talented, committed individuals who share our vision, values, and professional ambition. We have an opening in our Pre-operative Assessment team at Kidderminster Treatment Centre on a 22.5-hour contract.

As a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant, you will see patients in the Pre-operative Assessment support clinic to undertake investigations relevant to their assessment, including venepuncture, ECGs, MRSA swabbing, and CPE sampling. You will also manage documentation via our online assessment tool, Synopsis, and IT literacy is essential.

Main Duties
  • Prepare, plan, and run your own clinics via PAS, including health promotion and explaining patient information.
  • Support patients with clinical skills such as ECGs and Venepuncture.
  • Assist in pre-assessment procedures, documentation, and patient care activities.
  • Maintain a safe environment, support patient mobility, and manage clinic areas.
  • Undertake investigations and assist with clinical support under supervision.
  • Support departmental functions, including stock management and cleaning.

Additional Information

Post posted on 23 April 2025, under Agenda for Change Band 3, with a salary of £24,071 to £25,674 annually. This is a permanent, part-time role with flexible working patterns. The position is based at Kidderminster General Hospital, Bewdley Road, Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
