If so, then Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting talented, committed individuals who share our vision, values and professional ambition. We currently have an opportunity to join our Pre-operative Assessment team at Kidderminster Treatment Centre on a 22.5 hour contract. As a Band 3 Healthcare assistant you will be responsible for seeing patients in Pre-operative Assessment support clinic to undertake investigations relevant to the patients assessment. This will include, but is not limited to, venepuncture, ECGs, MRSA swabbing and CPE sampling. You will also undertake thorough documentation via our online assessment tool, Synopsis. IT literacy is also integral to the job role.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Healthcare assistant you will be expected to prep, plan and run your own clinic assigned to you via PAS. This will include health promotion, explaining patient information and clinical skills such as ECGs and Venepuncture. You will be supported by the Nursing team and the wider Countywide team to assist in the completion of patient's pre-assessments prior to their surgery date.
