An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Ophthalmology Department at Southlands for a dynamic and focused Band 3 Senior HCA/Ophthalmic Technician.
Main duties include setting up clinics for Ophthalmology; carrying out and recording Visual Acuities; intraocular pressure measurement; auto-refraction; focimeter readings; visual field testing; biometry (macula, optic disc, and corneal imaging).
The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team providing specialist ophthalmic care to patients. A commitment to enroll in and complete the Healthcare Scientist Ophthalmic Imaging Apprenticeship is expected.
Set up clinics, perform and record various ophthalmic tests and imaging, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver ophthalmic care.
