Job summary
Permanent part-time role, 24 hours per week.
The successful candidate will participate in a dual role involving cleaning, decontaminating, and maintaining endoscopes according to departmental protocols and standards, with awareness of COSHH regulations and PPE requirements.
Responsibilities include preparing environments for endoscopy procedures, assisting as a Band 3 in diagnostic and endoscopic procedures under supervision, supporting and mentoring junior staff, and providing patient care in clinical areas, including monitoring and airway maintenance during gastroscopies.
The role involves county-wide duties and participation in out-of-hours on-call rotations, including setting up treatment rooms, maintaining airways, portering, and scope decontamination, all under RGN guidance.
The Endoscopy Unit operates Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00.
