Cucumber Recruitment is seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our flexible staffing team in Leeds. Immediate shifts are available with a supportive environment and weekly pay. DBS on Update Service speeds onboarding, and long-term placements or ad-hoc work are possible.

With 6+ months of relevant experience, you will lead junior staff, provide person-centred care and maintain accurate care records while communicating with healthcare professionals and families as appropriate.

Competenze

• 6+ months recent experience as Senior Healthcare Assistant or similar.
• Confidence in leading or mentoring junior staff.
• Up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred.
• Reliable, compassionate and flexible approach to work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mandatory training certificates (renewals supported)

Mansioni

About the Role:

• Provide person-centred care to residents, including personal care, emotional support, and companionship
• Support junior care staff, lead by example and maintain high standards of care
• Administer medications
• Communicate with healthcare professionals and family members where appropriate
• Maintain clear and accurate care records
• Ensure a safe and respectful care environment at all times

Requirements:

• 6+ months recent experience working as a Senior Healthcare Assistant or similar role
• Confidence in leading or mentoring junior staff
• Up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred
• Reliable, compassionate, and flexible approach to work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Mandatory training certificates (we can help if renewals are needed)
