Job summary

Nurseplus is seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant – Drivers Only to provide high-quality care across settings, from elderly care to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health challenges. You’ll join a compassionate team where every shift makes a difference.

You’ll work on flexible shifts, with weekly pay and a supportive development path including mandatory training, NVQ options, and a Blue Light Card. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old and eligible to work in the UK.
• Minimum 6 months UK care experience.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards it.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Good standard of English communication.
• Clear enhanced DBS (applied for upon registration).

Responsibilities

• Assist service users with personal care, mobility, medication administration, meal preparation and companionship.
• Work with care plans to promote independence and dignity, providing physical and emotional support.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting service users with personal care, safe lifting and moving, administering medication, meal preparation, and providing general companionship. You’ll work closely with care plans to ensure individuals maintain independence and dignity, providing the physical and emotional support that they might need to achieve their goals.

What We’re Looking For

• You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
• Must have minimum 6 months UK Care Experience & Health and Social NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 or working towards this.
• Flexibility in your availability, Must have Full UK Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle.
• A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
• A clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
