Description and requirements

We are seeking a Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our Building team based in Tewkesbury. The role involves providing functional Health & Safety advice, guidance, and coaching to Project Teams. You will support multiple projects as needed to assist the resident H&S Managers.

This role is key to establishing and maintaining high Health and Safety standards and fostering an Injury-Free Environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advising, guiding, and coaching personnel on the implementation of the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
  • Maintaining the Health & Safety competence matrix under the supervision of the Project Manager / Director
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the Construction Phase Plan / Project Execution Plan
  • Monitoring project activities, trade contractors, designers, suppliers, and assisting the Procurement Team
  • Liaising with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, clients, enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Supporting business development by completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and tender enquiries as directed

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience in construction, particularly in multi-storey large commercial, mixed-use projects, or schools
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Technician grade membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or higher
  • Working towards chartered membership of IOSH – CMIOSH
