Cranleigh STEM & Sustainability Recruitment is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for construction and civil engineering projects across London and the Home Counties. This hands-on role requires expertise in groundworks, RC frames and site safety leadership across live sites.

You will inspect sites, advise Project Managers, monitor risks, investigate incidents and ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and UK health and safety legislation.

Qualifications

• Significant H&S experience in groundworks, RC frames or civil engineering.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent as a minimum.
• Strong communication, influencing and report-writing skills.

Responsabilités

• Undertake independent site safety inspections, audits and behavioural observations.
• Provide practical H&S advice and support to project teams and site managers.
• Monitor high-risk activities including excavations, lifting operations and temporary works.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses with root-cause analysis.
• Challenge unsafe practices while maintaining positive relationships with teams.
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and Health and Safety legislation.
• Produce inspection, audit and investigation reports and drive improvements.
