A leading Civil Engineering and Utilities contractor seeks a Senior Health and Safety Manager to develop their Safety function. This hybrid role will refine and implement the H&S strategy while managing a small team. Ideal candidates have experience in relevant sectors and a NEBOSH qualification.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Civil Engineering, Utilities, Telecommunications, Highways, Construction or similar environments.

  • Full UK driving licence essential.

With a strong project pipeline across the region and a reputation for quality, the organisation is now looking to bring in a dedicated Senior Health and Safety Manager to develop their Safety function.

A hybrid role, this is a key role in refining and implementing the H&S strategy while supporting operational teams across sites, predominantly based within Kent.

The Senior Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing practical Health and Safety advice and support across live projects
  • Working closely with senior leadership to develop and embed the Group H&S strategy
  • Conducting incident investigations and implementing preventative measures
  • Driving continuous improvement and promoting a positive H&S culture
  • Leading on audits, inspections, and site-based engagement
  • Manage a small Team of H&S Professionals
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Experience in Civil Engineering, Utilities, Telecommunications, Highways, Construction or similar. environments
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate or equivalent
  • A full UK driving licence
Remuneration and Benefits:
  • Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience
  • £5,000 car allowance
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Defined route to Head of H&S and Director level roles
  • Pension scheme
  • Plus additional benefits
