Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate required.

Senior Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Kent

Are you an experienced health & safety professional with knowledge of heavy civil engineering projects and seeking a new opportunity? I am currently working with a principal contractor that is seeking a Senior H&S Advisor to join the team on a major project in Dartford. The ideal candidate will have major project experience within civil engineering and be a proactive and engaging H&S professional looking to continue growing their career.

The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

• Providing expert advice and guidance to the team and wider contractors
• Carrying out site-based H&S audits and inspections
• Supporting and advising on the assessment and appointment of subcontractors
• Completing monthly reports for senior management, identifying areas of concern and suggesting improvement plans
• Sharing health & safety best practices across the business
• Leading on accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans
• Conducting risk assessments and preparing method statements for sites when required
• Promoting a positive and proactive health & safety culture across the business

The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will have:

• At least 5 years of experience working in health & safety
• Experience working on major civil engineering projects
• NEBOSH Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Ideally working towards a Diploma level, but not essential
