Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining EH&S metrics and data to support management reviews and continuous improvement.
  • Help implement EH&S policies, practices, guidelines, and procedures across locations.
  • Develop and conduct EH&S training aligned with regulatory initiatives.
  • Supervise incident investigations including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Conduct EH&S audits and risk assessments; participate in external audits and loss prevention reviews.
  • Coordinate corrective actions with site personnel following audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and act as a technical EH&S resource for the site safety committee.
  • Lead site safety committee activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee ergonomics programs with support from third-party resources.

Job description

Join us as a Senior Health & Safety Engineer (Senior Engineer II, Health & Safety Manufacturing) and play a vital role in protecting our manufacturing workforce. You'll combine technical expertise with strategic leadership to build a world-class safety program that makes a real difference every day.

What will you do?
  • Assist in maintain appropriate metrics, evaluate data trending, and provide data input to management reviews, with a view to continuous improvement and enhancement of EHS performance.
  • Assist with the implementation of EHS policies, practices, guidelines, and procedures. Identify location-specific requirements for each area and participate in the development of related programs and policies.
  • Assist in developing training programs and conduct training to comply with regulatory corporate EHS initiatives.
  • Supervise the incident/accident investigation process including root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Conduct environment, health and safety audits and risk assessments. Participate in external EHS compliance audits and loss prevention audits.
  • Coordinate the completion of all corrective actions with site personnel resulting from risk assessments, compliance audits or loss prevention audits.
  • Guarantee to the plant manager compliance to regulations in the field of Health & safety, Environment
  • Function as a technical EHS resource for management and the safety committee. Lead the site safety committee.
  • Participate in the site’s Continuous Improvement/Lean/5S activities. Provide recommendations for improving EHS practices within the facility.
  • Oversee site ergonomics program with assistance from third party resource.
  • Coordinate with regional security manager to ensure appropriate life safety measures are in place.

  • NEBOSH Diploma and a certified member of IOSH
  • Proven experience of minimum 5 years- Employee Health & Safety work and activities related to environmental governance in manufacturing industries
  • Desirable – Qualified ISO auditor

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 57,600 - GBP 86,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
