Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join the Corporate Health & Safety Team at Torbay Hospital. You will report to the Head of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) and promote high standards of health, safety, fire and environmental compliance across the Trust.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join our Corporate Health & Safety Team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. Reporting to the Head of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ), you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, fire and environmental compliance across the Trust.

This is a varied and influential role where you will provide expert advice, deliver training, undertake audits and inspections, support incident investigations, and work with colleagues at all levels to drive a positive safety culture. You will have the opportunity to influence decision-making, support continuous improvement initiatives and help ensure safe environments for our patients, visitors and staff.

We are looking for a confident and proactive professional with excellent communication skills, strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, and the ability to build effective working relationships across a complex organisation.
