With plans to see SP Energy Networks (SPEN), part of the ScottishPower Group, look to invest over £5bn in transmission projects across our transmission network in central and southern Scotland by 2030, the Transmission Projects team will play a key role in supporting SPEN to work at pace to deliver the transmission network that is required to support ambitions Scottish and UK Government 2030 targets.

What you’ll be doing
A Senior Health & Safety Advisor within SP Transmission Projects is responsible for advising and directing multiple Project Teams and Senior Management throughout project lifecycles and providing health and safety services to colleagues and contractors based at our construction sites to ensure the successful delivery of multiple multi-million pound energy construction projects. It is essential that client interface activities are primary focus along with proactive monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on performance and ensuring the integration of departmental and group policies, programs, and processes.
Additionally, the postholder will be responsible for delivering aspects of the Health & Safety Operating Plan, undertaking planned audits and inspections, providing incident investigation support and participating in health and safety initiatives.
