As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to help oversee and maintain safety standards across our projects in the London area.

Role Overview

The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will be a key figure in driving the safety culture across our projects, ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations and best practices. In this role, you will develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety protocols to protect our workforce, clients, and stakeholders. You will collaborate with project teams and external bodies to ensure consistent compliance and safety excellence across the board.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide competent support, advice, and guidance on safety legislation and good practices to all levels of the business.
2. Develop comprehensive safety plans and ensure effective implementation across the projects.
3. Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to projects teams and stakeholders.
4. Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
5. Oversee incident and near miss investigations, providing the necessary input to ensure that the true root cause is identified and appropriate preventative action(s) are put in place.
6. Plan and undertake audits (Internal / external) as per the established audit schedule.
7. Undertake and contribute to H&S projects.
8. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain a high standard of safety on-site.
9. Data evaluation and production of monthly and ad hoc reports.
10. Write and review internal health and safety documentation.
11. Deputise for the JA Brooks Health and Safety Manager.

Requirements

1. Relevant qualification in QHSE. NEBOSH Certification is required.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
3. Data Centre Experience: Previous experience working on data centre projects is essential.
4. M & E Experience: Strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering is a must.
5. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and construction industry best practices.
6. Experience in external ISO (45001, 14001 & 9001) auditing.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
8. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance practices.
9. Proven ability to manage risk and implement control measures.
10. Exceptional attention to detail.
11. Hold a valid CSCS card.
