Clancy is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support Southern Water. The role is field-based, covering multiple sites and-driving safety improvements across the contract. You will lead safety activities, advise teams and promote healthy safety behaviours on site.
The ideal candidate holds a NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate, Tech IOSH membership, and has a proven track record of incidents investigations and risk management across complex environments.
That’s why we need people like you to help us. People who enjoy finding new ways to solve problems and get things done.
We have an opportunity for an experienced, qualified Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join our team, working with our client Southern Water.
This is a key role supporting our operational teams to deliver work safely, promote colleague wellbeing and continually improve Health & Safety standards across the contract. You’ll take a hands-on approach, working across multiple sites and building strong relationships with teams on the ground to provide practical advice and support.
This isn’t a desk-based advisory role. You’ll be out on site, understanding the challenges our teams face, promoting positive safety behaviours and helping to find solutions that work in practice.
You’re an experienced Health & Safety professional with a strong operational background in construction, utilities, water or civil engineering. You’ll have a sound understanding of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and at least five years’ experience in a similar advisory role.
You’ll be confident working across multiple sites, building relationships and influencing colleagues at all levels. A practical, solutions-focused approach is essential, along with the ability to engage teams, promote best practice and support a positive safety culture.
A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential, along with Tech IOSH membership. Progression towards Graduate IOSH, or equivalent, would be desirable.
You’ll also need a full UK driving licence and be flexible to travel across the region, with some flexibility in working hours to support operational requirements. Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and database systems, are also required.
