Job description

Oakland Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Head Chef to lead catering operations in two of our luxury care homes. As a Senior Head Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional, nutritious, and appealing meals for our residents while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

This role requires adaptability and a strong understanding of financial management, quality assurance, and team building. You will rotate between two care homes.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay: £18-£20 per hour (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

What you will be doing:

• Leading the kitchen and dining service across the home.
• Designing, presenting, and delivering high-quality menu options.
• Procurement of ingredients and ensuring impeccable customer service in line with health, safety, food hygiene, and COSHH regulations.
• Recruiting, inducting, and developing your team.

What you need to succeed:

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and experience delivering high-quality service as a Head Chef.
• Experience recruiting, inducting, and training team members.
