Job summary
The Oncology and Haematology Day Unit is seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to support care for SACT/Chemotherapy patients in a busy day unit. You will assist Doctors and Nurses, perform Venepuncture, Cannulation, Venesection and PICC line care when trained, and uphold high standards of care in line with trust values.
Previous experience in acute or community settings is desirable; DBS checks are required.
Qualifications
- Essential: QCF Level 3 or equivalent (NVQ/BTEC) in healthcare or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Experience in an acute or community healthcare setting is preferred.
- Disclosures: Willingness to undergo DBS check as per policy.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients and other healthcare professionals in delivering care to chemotherapy patients in a fast-paced day unit.
- Support doctors and nurses to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
