Job Opportunity: Senior Hardware Engineer at Wood Digital Consulting (DC)

Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is currently recruiting for a Senior Hardware Engineer with significant expertise in Automation and Control to support our UK projects. This role can be offered as a staff position or a contract.

This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK. The role requires mobility and travel to customer sites, as well as face-to-face meetings with colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

• Must pass the HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.
• Minimum BSc Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Significant experience and competency in Automation and Control Engineering.
• Good general knowledge of each Automation and Control engineering discipline.
• Experience in writing hardware specification documents.
• Detailed experience with multiple system implementation projects and/or control system platforms.
• Experience with brownfield upgrades and replacement automation and control projects.
• Experience in hardware specification and design of PLC systems and hardwired Safety Systems.
• Ability to create hardware installation documents.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, methodologies, economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Knowledge of modern automation and control applications, tools, methodologies, or equivalent training/experience.
• Good working knowledge of current industry-specific technology.
• Inquisitive, well-organized, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to operate effectively in an integrated team environment, building trust and respect among team members.
