Join JLR as an ADAS Hardware Engineer and play a pivotal role in delivering the next of Assisted and Automated Driving (AAD) and Motion technologies. Working within the Hardware Group, you’ll be responsible for the design, integration, and validation of critical hardware components across multiple vehicle programmes. From collaborating with suppliers to hands-on testing and troubleshooting, this role offers a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of automotive innovation. You’ll be part of a dynamic, agile team, contributing to everything from mechanical integration to electronic signal analysis — and helping shape the future of mobility.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Take ownership of hardware development and integration across advanced driver assistance systems.

  • Lead the design, validation, and integration of ADAS hardware components across vehicle platforms
  • Collaborate with suppliers to review and approve electronic circuit designs, PCB layouts, and mechanical interfaces
  • Conduct hands-on testing and troubleshooting using lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, CAN tools, and logic analysers
  • Support vehicle-level integration, including power supply analysis, signal quality checks, and EMC compliance
  • Manage hardware delivery milestones and maintain comprehensive engineering evidence records
  • Provide technical support to cross-functional teams, including HIL, systems, and software integration


WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Bring your hardware expertise, problem-solving mindset, and collaborative spirit to deliver high-performance systems.

  • A degree in Electronics or a related field, with experience in production hardware development across the V-cycle
  • Strong understanding of electrical sensors, signal processing, and power supply stability
  • Proficiency in using test equipment such as CANalyser, CANape, oscilloscopes, and digital logic analysers
  • Experience in hardware validation, systems analysis, and in-circuit test development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue investigation and resolution
  • On-site presence 4 days a week and a strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
