Job Description:

We are looking for a senior hardware engineer with an embedded systems focus to develop electronic platforms for defence and security applications. You will develop solutions at the system level and handle detailed electronic design work to realize your concepts.

While this role focuses on defence and security, you will also have opportunities to apply your skills in healthcare and consumer sectors, fostering cross-sector collaboration.

Key technologies include:

• Software Defined Radio
• Embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare metal applications on custom platforms
• Ultra-low power electronics and firmware for various communication technologies (Cellular, WiFi, BLE, DECT NR+, Zigbee, Sub 1GHz, NFC)
• Microcontrollers with peripherals like RTC, SPI, I2C, UART, Crypto Engines, DMA, ADCs, USB, AI/ML accelerators

Qualifications

This is a hardware-focused role requiring experience in:

• Understanding of UK, EU, US regulatory standards and designing for compliance
