Job Description

As a Senior Hair Stylist, you will work together with your peers to bring to life the ever-evolving ASOS Creative. You'll be responsible for making sure every model looks and feels ASOS ready throughout their shoot day. The role requires an unflappable, solution-focused, and hardworking individual with a passion for the brand. You have the ability to successfully support a team with a creative, strategic, and operational mindset. It is vital that you can work as a role model and are passionate about hairstyling, makeup, and fashion. This role requires proficiency in both hair and makeup artistry, with a stronger emphasis on hair styling skills.

What you'll be doing...

• Reporting directly into the lead hairstylist, responsible for contributing to the day-to-day running of the hair team
• Producing excellent hair that aligns with the ASOS aesthetic and appeals to the ASOS 20-something customer
• Being the go-to person for all things hair related
• Working to deadlines to ensure all models are shoot-ready and KPIs are met
• Building relationships with ASOS models to instill trust in your hair abilities and in the wider production department
• Developing your leadership and communication skills in line with ASOS Behaviours policy
• Analyzing your technical hair execution through daily updates and seeking improvement under the guidance of the team leader
• Collaborating with Leads and Management to deliver the department strategy and building strong relationships with the studio team
• Overseeing end-of-day tasks to ensure high standards
• Stepping up in the absence of the hair manager
• Supporting junior team members and identifying areas for development
• Handling model issues professionally and in line with ASOS policies
• Demonstrating brand awareness by researching trends and assessing competition
• Keeping up with the latest trends from fashion shows, influencers, TikTok, and street styles
• Encouraging authenticity, bravery, and creativity within the team
• Working with the model team to maximize each model's potential
• Assisting with shoot set-up and administrative tasks
• Delivering projects aligned with the department strategy and supporting the culture of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Qualifications

We'd love to meet someone with...

• Previous professional hair session styling experience
• Experience in fashion e-commerce
• Experience with all hair textures, including wigs, weaves, and extensions
• A methodical, accurate, and organized approach with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and think quickly
• Assertiveness and forward-thinking
• A proactive, efficient attitude
