SHD in London is seeking a Senior Hadoop Developer to manage the Hadoop cluster and craft high quality big data solutions within agile teams. The role focuses on development, analysis, design and building of data platforms in the financial services sector.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience with large data systems, strong Hive expertise, and knowledge of Python, Spark and Java; flexible working, bonus and relocation could be on offer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a project/corporate environment with large data processing systems.
• Hadoop Hive is essential; Spark and Hortonworks are desirable.
• Knowledge of Python, Spark R and Java; testing and Agile environment appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Hadoop cluster; develop, analyse, design and build big data solutions.
• Support delivery of high quality data solutions across the data lifecycle; work within agile teams.
