Job summary

MWH Treatment Limited is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to strengthen our SHEQ team across the UU region. You will report to the SHEQ Framework Manager and lead the delivery of policy development, audits, and risk controls.

The role requires extensive knowledge of UK health and safety law, CDM Regulations, and ISO/OHSAS 45001, plus experience in data analysis and cross‑site collaboration within the construction sector.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the Construction sector and strong knowledge of UK health and safety law.
• Formal qualification in Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or better).
• Membership or chartered status with a recognised H&S Institution is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Advise the SHEQ team at a Senior level and support the Head of SHEQ.
• Organise and support SHEQ audits and assurance activities across sites.
• Conduct accident/incident investigations or support investigations by the Head of SHEQ.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate SHEQ into day-to-day challenges.
• Monitor and report on KPIs; maintain external management systems.
• Analyse data trends to identify improvements and sustainable solutions.

MWH Treatment are looking to strengthen our SHEQ team with a Senior H&S Advisor project based within the UU region.

You will report directly to the SHEQ Framework Manager and your role will cover advising the SHEQ team at MWH at a Senior level.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Understanding our approach to managing SHEQ risk and delivering best in class performance at a Senior Level.
• Maintaining a dynamic and driven approach to supporting SHEQ across the company.
• Facilitating the development and implementation of policies, procedures, management systems and risk controls, which will help reduce risk and support a positive SHEQ culture at MWH.
• Organising audits and supporting the delivery and execution of SHEQ assurance audits.
• Conducting accident/incident investigations and/or supporting investigations conducted by the Head of SHEQ.
• Integrating within the wider project teams to understand day to day challenges.
• Working with our clients to deliver collaborative approaches to SHEQ.
• Exposure to the project management lifecycle of project delivery.
• Highlighting opportunity for sustainable solutions.
• Trending and analysis of key performance data.
• Maintenance of our externally certified management systems.

Technical Competencies:
