Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic VP Airports (Group Senior Manager) to join our London team. This leadership role oversees procurement related to ground operations, focusing on cost efficiencies and supply chain optimization.
- Develop and execute strategic transformation roadmaps and Category Plans, aligning with organizational goals and ground operation needs.
- Lead and mentor procurement teams, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for external spend to secure critical resources.
- Negotiate high-value contracts, ensuring favorable terms.
- Collaborate with business units to harmonize specifications and maximize group purchasing power.
- Support high-level projects with strategic suppliers to expand supplier markets.
- Optimize supply chain processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Analyze market trends and emerging technologies to innovate procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across operating companies.
- Mitigate supplier risks to protect the group from financial, operational, and reputational damages.
- Resolve complex commercial and contractual disputes with suppliers.
- Report procurement performance to senior management.
- Maintain procurement trackers and databases.
- Conduct commercial modeling and analysis for bids and contract changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years in procurement or supply chain, including senior leadership roles.
- Proven success in strategic procurement planning and execution.
- Expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Leadership skills to develop high-performing teams.
- Strong project management and multitasking abilities.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of ground operations in transportation or logistics.
- Familiarity with global procurement practices and compliance.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
