Job description

Our client is seeking a UK-qualified Senior Group Accountant (ACCA or CIMA) with 5–10 years of post-qualification experience to join their team in Bahrain. This is a high-impact role offering exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making across a multi-sector, multi-country group.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate financial reporting from subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and Group policies
  • Evaluate operational finance areas including cashflow, receivables, inventory, and procurement
  • Promote best practices across finance, procurement, and inventory management
  • Standardise reporting templates across varying ERP systems
  • Build strong relationships with finance teams across diverse cultures
  • Travel extensively across GCC countries to support subsidiaries on-site

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) from the UK – essential
  • Minimum 5–10 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in finance and accounting
  • Exposure to multi-company / group structures, preferably across international jurisdictions
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
  • Proven track record in financial controls, or group reporting functions
  • Experience in working with and understanding multiple ERP systems
  • Demonstrated ability to improve and implement finance processes and controls
  • Ability to interpret financial data, identify anomalies, and take corrective actions
  • High attention to detail with an investigative mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – culturally aware, diplomatic, and persuasive
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and project management capabilities
  • Experience working in treasury and securing bank facilities
