Our client is seeking a UK-qualified Senior Group Accountant (ACCA or CIMA) with 5–10 years of post-qualification experience to join their team in Bahrain. This is a high-impact role offering exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making across a multi-sector, multi-country group.

Responsibilities:

Review and validate financial reporting from subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and Group policies
Evaluate operational finance areas including cashflow, receivables, inventory, and procurement
Promote best practices across finance, procurement, and inventory management
Standardise reporting templates across varying ERP systems
Build strong relationships with finance teams across diverse cultures
Travel extensively across GCC countries to support subsidiaries on-site

Qualifications:

Qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) from the UK – essential
Minimum 5–10 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in finance and accounting
Exposure to multi-company / group structures, preferably across international jurisdictions
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
Proven track record in financial controls, or group reporting functions
Experience in working with and understanding multiple ERP systems
Demonstrated ability to improve and implement finance processes and controls
Ability to interpret financial data, identify anomalies, and take corrective actions
High attention to detail with an investigative mindset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – culturally aware, diplomatic, and persuasive
Strong analytical, organisational, and project management capabilities
Experience working in treasury and securing bank facilities
