Job Introduction

Due to continued rapid growth across the business, a new role has opened up for a Senior Group Accountant. This role reports to the Deputy Group Financial Controller and works closely with the Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer as part of a highly skilled and professional Finance team. This key role will be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting for the Group.

Main Responsibilities
  • Reviewing monthly consolidation, including drafting sections of the Board report
  • Half year results consolidation and interim accounts preparation
  • Assisting with the statutory financial statements including Plc consolidated accounts and 7 trading subsidiaries (all IFRS)
  • Consolidating forecasts and annual budget
  • Liaising with the tax advisors to ensure completion of tax returns and quarterly instalment payments
  • Managing the cash position of the Group through accurate tracking, forecasting and management of bank drawdowns and deposits
  • Ad hoc projects / analysis as required
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified accountant with 4+ year post qualified experience
  • Trained in practice
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
  • Experience in a listed group / consolidation environment
  • Will do attitude, ambitious team player with a strong work ethic
  • Engaging and personable with the ability to liaise at all levels and lead from the front
