Job summary

Romans Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking a Groundworks Contracts Manager to oversee multiple groundwork and civil engineering projects in Bedfordshire, Luton, and surrounding areas. You will lead site teams, project managers, site managers and subcontractors to ensure safe delivery on programme and within budget.

The role requires proven experience in groundworks or civil engineering with strong leadership, commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in groundworks or civil engineering.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple groundwork and civil engineering contracts across Bedfordshire and Luton.
• Lead site teams, project managers, engineers and subcontractors to deliver on time and budget.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and company procedures.
• Monitor performance, costs, profitability and resource requirements.
• Develop relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Attend client meetings, progress reviews and site visits.
• Support procurement, manage variations and final accounts with the commercial team.
• Provide leadership and development support to operational teams.
