Job summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking an experienced Greenspace Development and Inward Investment Lead to drive planning, development and delivery of transformative green infrastructure across the city. Qualifications

• Chartered membership required with LI; extensive landscape and development expertise.
• Proven ability to deliver complex landscape, green infrastructure and urban development projects.
• Experience managing major budgets and securing external funding.
• Strong negotiation and management of Section 106 agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage delivery of green infrastructure and landscape development projects across Birmingham.
• Oversee the Landscape Development team with focus on performance and professional development.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of innovative projects to improve green spaces and environment.
• Secure funding via grants, Section 106 and other opportunities.
• Collaborate with developers, planning colleagues, communities and partners to shape sustainable developments.
• Represent Parks & Green Spaces in major regeneration and development programmes.
• Monitor budgets and ensure financial forecasting and planning.
• Prepare reports and briefing papers for senior officers and elected members.
• Manage framework agreements and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to high environmental standards.
