Job summary

Amoria Group in Manchester is seeking a Governance, Risk & Compliance Manager to own the Group GRC framework and strengthen risk management as the business evolves. You’ll drive governance across operational and commercial risk, data protection, data governance, regulatory change and assurance, partnering with senior leaders and teams.

It’s a broad, practical role focused on turning regulatory requirements into effective controls and processes while maintaining a proportionate approach to risk.

Qualifications

• Strong governance, risk or compliance background.
• Experience developing and embedding governance frameworks.
• Good understanding of UK GDPR, data protection and privacy governance.
• Experience of assurance, auditing or control testing.
• Ability to turn complex requirements into practical business processes and controls.
• Experience producing risk and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and continually develop the Group Governance and Risk Management frameworks.
• Manage the Group risk register and work with business leaders to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop a risk-based assurance programme and conduct control testing.
• Lead Data Protection and Data Governance frameworks with the DPO.
• Own Data Governance Framework including data ownership and quality standards.
• Coordinate regulatory horizon scanning and quarterly impact assessments.
• Work with Security to govern information security risk, policies and controls.
• Own the governance calendar and ensure audits, policy reviews, and training happen on schedule.
• Develop annual training with Business Transformation and L&D across Data Protection, Information Security, Governance and Risk Management.
• Lead governance and compliance projects including regulatory change and new governance technology.
• Drive placement governance and operational controls across the function.
• Create meaningful risk and compliance dashboards for Executive Leadership and the Board.
