We’re looking for a Senior Graphics Programmer to join our award winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside.
As a Senior Graphics Programmer at Double Eleven, you’ll be part of an incredible team of developers working on some of the best selling franchises of all time. You’ll be implementing graphical rendering techniques and effects, sharing your graphics knowledge and working closely with other departments to create or improve art asset creation and workflow.
Recently, we collaborated with Rockstar Games to bring Red Dead Redemption to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 as well as partnered with Obsidian Entertainment on Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5.

What you’ll be doing
- Implement graphical rendering techniques and effects
- Work closely with other departments to create or improve art asset creation and workflow
- Sharing graphics knowledge with other members of the programming team
- Work as part of a small but perfectly formed close-knit team, where your opinion and efforts count
What we’re looking for
- Ability to effectively transition techniques between console and PC APIs (e.g.from console-exclusive optimisation tricks to Vulkan/DX12 equivalents)
- Ability to identify bottlenecks in C++ or GPU-side code and implement efficient solutions
- Ability to explain advanced techniques like PBR, ray tracing, and GI in ways understandable to engineers, artists, and clients
- Communicate effectively with content creators using tools like Maya or Max to ensure asset pipelines align with rendering goals
- Adaptability to new APIs
- Shader development and optimisation experience
- Proven experience in cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Ability to keep up to date with and integrate tools like DLSS, FSR, or custom shader compilers into the rendering pipeline
